if the shootout is any indicator, it looks like nascar fans are going to be in for a terrific year…
hopefully a thing of the past are the restrictor plate races that serve up 3 wide and multiple rows - because it’s just not much fun running/watching a race that is essentially left up to wrecks and cautions.
food for thought: if hamlin’s black flag results in a kurt busch victory, why doesn’t ryan newman place 2nd? hamlin’s attempted pass left newman no choice but to slow down (fall behind mcmurray) or possibly run right into his rear. since hamlin was indeed black flagged, why would kurt busch be the only racer to benefit?
