the match ups said that the teams were pretty evenly matched…both teams had great defenses, a decent running game, receivers that could make plays and talented quarterbacks.  the only difference coming into the game was that while the steelers had the super bowl experience, vegas had the packers as the favorites.
but what played out, was what we had felt the entire week prior - the packers offense was more fluid than the steelers and would be able to provide the protection that aaron rodgers needed to move the ball downfield.  on the other side of the ball, the packers defense would be able to do just enough to keep the steelers offense at bay.
rodgers and the packers stayed one step ahead and kept the steelers guessing on defense - polamalu didn’t even get a tackle until the 4th quarter and james harrison had 1 tackle the entire game.  their defense (even with the loss of charles woodson in the 2nd half) combined for 8 qb hits, 3 sacks and 1 critical forced fumble that shuddered the steelers momentum as they made their 2nd half run.
congratulations to the super bowl champions green bay packers, we look forward to your championship belt defense next season…
